There’s something truly special about photographing a brand-new baby in those first few days of life. As a San Diego baby photographer, I’m so lucky to meet families during one of their most joyful seasons—and little Halsten’s session was such a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do.

Halsten came to my cozy home studio in Carmel Mountain Ranch, just perfect at only a few days old. He had the softest little features and the most peaceful presence. Wrapped in warm neutrals and surrounded by soft textures, he settled right into every pose like a pro—sleepy, snuggly, and sweet as can be.

We styled Halsten’s session with a simple, timeless look that focused on all those tiny, perfect details: his fingers, toes, and the way his hair swirled just so. His parents were glowing with pride, and you could feel the love in every moment. It’s always such an honor to witness those early bonds forming—it’s more than a photo session; it’s a memory in the making.
